Gods Will

The Will of God

What does that term mean to you? Is it important to you? If so, How do you know if you are doing it? How can you make sure your walking in His will and that the decisions your making line up with what God wants for you? These are not easy questions, and the answers can very greatly depending on who you talk to. The truth is not easy but it is simple.

It's not easy because what we really want is a GPS and set of instructions that we can follow. What we would like God to do is to show us the next 10 steps and tell us what will happen along the way. But He never does that. More often then not God seems to be silent and even absent when it comes to "telling" us what we should do and directing us in the decisions we make. This can be, well, frustrating. The problem is not with God. The problem is with our expectations.

It's simple because it does not involve the toil and stress as you think it should. The goal is not in figuring it out, but in trusting God who already has it figured out. God calls His children to walk by faith, believing He is who He says He is. God will prove this as we trust Him and walk day by day in His grace. We are specifically told in the Scriptures that we are only to be concerned with today. We are not supposed to worry about tomorrow. It's simple because we just need to let God's Spirit lead us moment by moment and trust that He IS in control even when it looks like He is not.

The life God has called us to is one of Faith, and of dependency. God has called us to believe Him even when everything around us makes us want to doubt. This is the life more abundant. What are you waiting for. Put down the GPS and stop looking for the map. Trust God and take another step. He will not let you down. He will never let you go.
